      Senior Manager - Sales

      Pros

      Fantastic company, great product, enthusiastic people. Market leading technology that customer's love---and Tableau loves its customers. Lots of upside for the business. Have done a great job of transitioning from perpetual licensing model to subscription.

      Cons

      Tableau has had a hard time branching out from just Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server (Online). There are other potential opportunities in Database, ETL, Advanced Analytics that Tableau has had a hard time developing products to address. Tableau has always said they want to be a 'product' company, and address these needs for their customers, but have a hard time executing that strategy.

      Pros

      I do enjoy working here - all the people are amazing to work with and fun to spend this much time with. It's a fairly laid back atmosphere, that I am sure is dependent on your manager. Flexible with vacation and sick time. Tableau does invest in personal growth for individual employees and the entire Sales Team at a Sales conference every year. It's easy to move to a different position within the company.

      Cons

      Not a lot of communication with higher ups. Most people took pay decreases to work here.

      -Flexibility -Good health insurance -Great product to sell.

      Cons

      - Managers don't have experience. -Pay is below the industry. -No growth path, just promises. -It's a company for people coming out of college. Experienced professionals will get frustrated quickly. -Stock underperforming.
