      Pros

      - Amazing product, very fun to demo/sell/teach - Good work-life balance - Opportunities for professional development and learning related technologies - Hard work was recognized and rewarded - Free food - Phenomenal health care benefits

      Cons

      Some people say the pay is low, but I never felt unfairly compensated. I did not leave the company because I was discontent; I left because another company approached me with an unexpected opportunity that was the right move for my career -- an opportunity that was only available to me because of the skills I had gained at Tableau.

      Pros

      Great products with (some) smart features continually added; Good benefits. Friendly co-workers and a good office atmosphere; passionate customer base. Mgmt is interested in making data-based decisions.

      Cons

      Data-based decisions don't always mean you should ignore what's right in front of your face. Compensation for many is barely liveable, esp in Puget Sound area. The company has tried to get by for too long on low pay for the "privilege" of working there. Over-reliance on stock-based comp. Dev needs to focus more on quality rather than piling on new data sources.

      Pros

      - Amazing health insurance coverage - Great colleagues - Conference is fun if you go - Good office locations - Decent paid time off

      Cons

      - Below industry pay - Non-existent career path - Low raises, low RSU awards - Very high turnover This is a great job if you are happy doing the same role for years and years. This used to be a great place to grow ones career. That is no longer the case. Go elsewhere if you want opportunity.
