      Fun environment - no money, unclear growth

      Pros

      The environment is relaxed and fun. Work-life balance is held with high regard. Medical benefits are great.

      Cons

      Employees are well underpaid in comparison to other tech companies. Raises are few and far between. Titles are extremely low as well. 3-5 years experience to be an assistant minimum. There is also a huge lack in career pathing / there isn't any. Many employees are leaving.

      Pros

      Culture, environment, people, and collaborative, it was a GREAT place to work. It provides free breakfast, lunch, and snacks, so you never go hungry. Training is amazing as they put a lot of effort into it, and even at times the CEO will do part of the training. Made me appreciate the product more, as I already used it going into the company. Tableau also encourages employees to attend the annual customer conference, which is also an amazing experience! So many pros, I can go on.

      Cons

      The only con I can think of is the open floor plan. While I like to collaborate, it was hard to focus on detailed work, or be on the phone without everyone looking or listening. I hear this is the modern thing companies are doing, so probably hard to stay away from. I left Tableau because of the commute. I bought a house and was commuting 4 hours a day.

      Tons of room for creativity, great benefits, awesome people, career growth potential.

      Cons

      So much going on that projects are often rushed. A lot of urgency, but for no reason.
