Pros

- good snacks - coworkers are cool

Cons

- impossible to get promoted or moved to different groups unless you 1- know the right people or 2- are Israeli - no diversity in any sense of the word - pay is low in relation to the amount of work you do and in relation to how much money the company makes

Taboola Response

Fairness and equity are two things that are very important to Taboola’s leadership team, and it’s a thread that runs through all we do. Because of that, Taboola in the US is in the middle of a soft roll-out of a more formalized Internal Mobility program. The purpose is to give Taboolars opportunities to be considered for open positions, including participating in an interview process, just as any external candidate would. This has allowed employees to move across teams, departments, and even geographies. Just in the past 2 weeks alone we’ve made offers to 4 current employees in the New York office to take new positions on new teams. The goal is to tighten up the process now, and then roll it out globally later this year. While diversity is something Taboola is focused on improving for 2019, our employee base of over 1,100 is scattered across various geographic territories, and we speak over 30 different languages! But I know that’s not the kind of diversity you’re referring to, and it is a priority for this year. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Any feedback is helpful, sometimes negative feedback more so, because it helps us identify what needs improvement the most.

Pros

Great culture, young, fun, focus on employees. Office space and location are the best. Smart people Working with people around the globe Annual sales kickoff is awesome Exposure to cool technologies Transparent and open - management presents quarterly updates, always open for Q&A

Cons

If you are not familiar with Israeli work culture, make sure to check it before you join. Hebrew is constantly spoken in the office, some senior managers are very aggressive, favoritism towards Israelis. Lack of diversity - only one woman on the executive team (of more than 20). During 3 days sales kickoff event, not a single woman took the stage.

Pros

Global biz model which is profitable. Some very bright professionals who work here.

Cons

Externally, marketing and messaging is weak. We make "it" up as we go. Internally, much of the same. Haven't we built out a proper sales ops unit who pushes out #'s and kickers? @ SKO this year there was a contrived vibe. Let it go if you're not in the "founders club", aka first few yrs of Taboola. Wait for no partnership, from no one from that tribe. Solid people seem to be leaving too often with NO communication.
