Pros

-50% off meals when working, 20% off when you're not working -I learned a lot, such as dealing with difficult customers, working an electronic register, counting drawers, and most importantly-- how to wrap a burrito! -Can be fun at times depending on your coworkers. -Lots of employees, so it's easy to switch shifts with someone if you need the day off or you're sick. -Great for a first job.

Cons

-Rude customers -Fast paced environment -Multitasking -I worked at two separate locations, and the management at the first one was terrible, employees smoked weed, a horrible manager spread rumors about me, and no one really cared what went on. However, at the second location; things were very orderly and kind, it made it much better. It really just depends on the location.

Pros

They give you your uniform for FREE which includes a visor, nametag, polyester polo, belt buckle, and PANTS!!!! lol

Cons

my specific location did not pay overtime hours, they skimped on portions and had the audacity to charge the customer more when they complained. I've worked at three taco bells and all i saw was favoritism and nazi managers. Taco Bell as a company likes to pretend that it cares about customer service, but in reality they only care about your money. In my time working there they implemented countless changes to help streamline the transaction by becoming less and less polite. For example when i first started working there in the drive thru my welcoming line was "Hi! my name is_____, welcome to taco bell, order whenever you're ready". Managment felt that this was too "time consuming" and wanted everyone in the drive-thru to say "welcome to taco bell". Customers would just stay quiet and they were always unsure if they could even order. They tried to cut back on time but in reality they just made things worse and alot more unfriendly and informal. this resulted in co-workers becoming less and less nice to customers. these types of changes that honestly cut back on customer service were implemented countless times over my two years in working with them. If you are genuinely a customer service oriented person then you will constantly be yelled at for doing your job the right way. The managers are very bitter people, they know that they will always be doing the same thing for the rest of their lives so they treat their employees like crap. Its impossible to get a wage increase. Every employee that got promoted to supervisor ended up having alot more responsibilty and stress but they remained being paid the bare bone minimum for months at a time. Why even get promoted if you're just going to keep getting paid the same?
