They have good benefits. They are loyal to their employees, especially ones who have worked longer.

Cons

The hospital is chronically understaffed, especially in IT. Computer repairs take a long time. They hire at competitive salaries, but don't keep up with cost-of-living increases to keep their budgets lower.

Some of the best employees I've ever worked with. USF affiliation. Wonderful marketing, branding and community opinion. New CEO giving hope for change.

Cons

Absentee management. Entrenched corporate culture that believes the TGH way is the only way. Aging infrastructure. Eliminated traditional pension. Decreasing benefits. Cutting employee hours while touting the amount of cash we have on hand. Large debt with decreasing revenue. Implementing projects without ROI concerns. Lack of opportunities for advancement. Over spent on EMR that still doesn't perform as we would like.
