An exciting, rewarding and challenging experience

Pros

I have seen a great deal of change in my time with the organization but a constant has been the quality and caliber of the people. Professionally, the team is incredibly sharp and hardworking. On a personal level, I've found my coworkers to be some of the most interesting and genuine people I know. The technology and product functionality are years ahead of the competition and the gap is getting bigger. Our institutional clients view Tapingo as a tremendous asset to their respective institutions and are powerful advocates in a large but close-knit marketplace. For the end users, Tapingo is a way of life - a transformative technology that changes what they expect from the world around them.

Cons

It's a constantly evolving organization that requires personal and professional flexibility. To be at your best, you need to view your role as a part of the team versus concretely defining your job responsibilities.

High Growth, Fun Problems

Pros

Tapingo has crazy levels of engagement on college campuses and students absolutely love the service. They have actual momentum at the intersection of online and offline commerce. You'll quickly get thrown into a variety of challenges where it is necessary to learn and understand every aspect of the business - product, support, operations, sales, etc. If you are ready for a challenge, its an exciting place to be. The US office is in a team-building phase but intentions are in the right place.

Cons

Their space (mobile commerce) is pretty noisy - you'll have to really believe in the unique strategy they are taking. You have to be really independent and motivated to succeed - there is not much hand holding.

Pros

The product itself is very cool, and apparently needed among college students. My co-workers were all very talented and dedicated, senior management put a big emphasis on holding brainstorming meetings to help solve problems. A startup environment is a great place for people to express themselves and be creative, any new ideas for features or improvements were always considered and usually also implemented if relevant. The work was challenging and all of the workers got a chance to work on lots of different projects so there's never a dull moment, you're always stimulated.

Cons

As the company grows there should be more presence of an HR department. The time difference between the tel aviv and sf offices makes communication somewhat challenging, and sometimes there's a need to work in the small hours of the night.
