Pros

- Fair Pay - Good breaks - Flexible Casual Hours - perfect for students - Friendly coworkers

Cons

- Untrained and weak leadership in stores management - Overpromises and underdelivers on staff benefits - Store manager cuts necessary shifts to reduce staff cost, resulting in understaffing (around Christmas time! that receives negative feedback from customers) and a bonus to him - Fact: the store I worked at had four people complain to HR at HQ about being bullied by a manager, that manager was then transferred to another store and given a promotion. - There is a culture that HR is scared of firing employees due to the threat of union action and being sued; which has lead to some staff becoming lazy

Pros

You only get 4 hr shifts which is a positive because you don't want to stay there any longer than you need to.

Cons

The supervisors are always cranky so you can't make mistakes. The workers that have been longer there also are rude and try to belittle you if you do something wrong as well. The staff turnover is so high supervisors don't know what you've been trained in and this can be very stressful for you. There is no real thorough training process you're just expected to catch on from working there a week.
