Pros

If you like interacting and helping with customers, then a job at Target is suitable for you. The environment is quite pleasant, with a nice tea-room. Most managers are quite laid back with how you do your work, as long as you are getting the job done and aren't stuffing around. A good mix of people, I made a lot of great friends from my Target. Quite easy to take time off as a casual and get out of shifts.

Cons

Management can get very picky about the smallest things. If you are a casual, expect to get hardly any shifts in quiet periods. Expect to get some of your shifts cancelled occasionally as well. There's only so much you can do to help an angry customer; an example is when they have lost an item they had on hold and there was only one of them left in the store.

Pros

-Good pay -generous discounts -regular shifts (at first)

Cons

-management don't communicate with staff -management don't appreciate staff enough -once you turn 18 they stop giving regular shifts -favouritism - NO LOYALTY, they hire more staff then forget about the staff who have been there for years.. - cut shifts without notice

Pros

Good if you enjoy repetitive work and it is a large store so you will work in different sections. Team members are easy to get along with. Pretty laid back and not a lot of pressure if you do your job properly.

Cons

Management can sometimes be selfish and not take into account other's perspectives/situations. Extremely repetitive work sometimes so if that's not your thing then it will become boring very quickly.
