Gets the Job Done

Pros

Generally pleasant coworker environment, pay is decent as long as you're getting decent hours as well. You will almost always be crosstrained in a few roles. There are often opportunities to pick up extra hours if you'd like them, as long as your performance is in good standing. Getting time off is not terribly difficult if you can plan ahead for it. Keeping your attendance timely, reliable, and putting in good effort each day is usually all it takes to do well here.

Cons

Understaffing issues are common. Day to day experience varies greatly depending on role you're in on a given day and how busy the store is. Your leadership's management/communication style can make a big difference in how the days go. Even with good backup on a well staffed day, It's good to be a generally independent worker and able to solve small issues on the fly due to the fast pace some roles demand - sometimes with actual timers.

Cons

Pay Can Be Moderate • While pay is competitive for retail, reviews often say it’s not always high given the workload, and hour availability can fluctuate. 2. Management & Workload Issues • Experiences with management vary a lot — some stores have supportive leaders, others report favoritism, poor communication, or unrealistic expectations. 3. Retail Demands • Like other retail jobs, dealing with rude customers, busy holiday seasons, and physically demanding tasks is common. 4. Unpredictable Hours • Some workers mention inconsistent hours or cuts after peak seasons, which can make income unstable. 5. Variable Experience by Location • The daily experience can differ dramatically depending on store leadership, team members, and local expectations. 6. Promotion & Career Path May Be Limited • While growth is possible, some employees say advancement isn’t always clearly supported or guaranteed.
