Pros

Target provides free college education through The Guild. We have Blue Cross Blue Shield, optional Delta Dental, and optional vision coverage. Matching 401k up to 5%. 6 free therapy sessions, and 6 free life coaching appointments per year online through Spring Health. Unlimited therapy if you pick the more expensive health insurance which still only costs me about $80 per month at age 41. Free smoking cessation products. Raises every 6 months to a year, between about .50 to $2. Positive culture, very diverse, positive and respectful management, at least at this location at the Sortation Center. Target is huge about providing career development resources, and hiring from within so people are constantly getting promoted. Obsessive about safety. This is probably the safest place you'll ever exist. Mandatory stretch sessions with music for the entire team at the start of every shift. Instead of condescending leadership with regular criticism, Target is big about listening to feedback from the team members instead, as well as helping us achieve our own goals for professional devotement. Management feels more like mentorships than just being our superiors.

Cons

It's hard to get a permanent job here, but once you're in, its great!
