Pros

The pay was competitive for the role, and the benefits package—including health insurance and the 401(k) match—is solid. The initial HR presentation was very welcoming, emphasizing growth and support.

Cons

Based on firsthand experience and direct observation, I attest to significant shifts in Target Security Services' hiring and operational practices following the discontinuation of its corporate DEI initiatives. The evidence indicates a move toward preferential hiring of individuals approximately 18 years old who fit a specific, model-like physical aesthetic, prioritizing these traits over a diverse workforce and established experience. This new standard was personally corroborated when I was terminated without just cause and my replacement was an individual who matched this exact youthful and specific appearance. Furthermore, I witnessed a failure of corporate procedural integrity. Despite my strict adherence to all documented asset protection protocols, I was disciplined for an incident. These practices establish a work environment where appearance is valued over protocol, corporate leadership fails to support ethical employees, and experienced staff can be replaced to meet a new, non-inclusive brand image.
