Pros
Frenzied but kind of fun. It would be worse but the company has had a good outlook in paying everyone a fair wage imo so I was grateful for the salary and benefits despite the chaos.
Cons
Reshop that never ends & not able to go home until it's done. Back in the day (do we have cashiers anymore?) we would all be notified by walkie talkie when a backup cashier was needed. We'd do that and it would take lots of time from our actual assigned role (hardlines and softlines) and it would always be the same people volunteering, getting more behind on their work for being nice, & no benefit to being the only people to pick up the extra work consistently. I didn't like the facades that went on when the visiting store directors came and everyone treated them like royalty/pushed you to work insanely hard/fast because a "visit" was happening
