Pros

I was really surprised by how friendly team members are. I wasn't used to that in my old job. It's a very organized environment, and people go out of their way to help costumers.

Cons

People who work at this target are great, however not all people who shop at target are friendly, and they fail to see the work that goes into making the perfect store for them.

Pros

Overall, a very friendly work environment. There is a mutual respect among every level of employee. Schedules are posted on time, Upper management is professional and fair to deal with, requests for family time off are respected as well as they can be for a busy retail environment. I only worked this position during the busy season. It can be intense, stressful and demanding at times. I think it would be pretty even during the regular year. The pay is above average compared with other retail settings.

Cons

The only thing I was not happy with was the lack of scheduling concern during the Christmas season. Target requires every employee to have a minimum of 8 hours between shifts. So, if you are scheduled till 11PM, and plan on being out of work by midnight. The work load (restocking/organizing areas that have been destroyed by Christmas shoppers could keep you at work as late as 3 am. If you were scheduled to work the next day at 9am, you must now start your shift at 12 the next day. Now any personal plans you would have had that evening are now pushed back due to the scheduling. I'm sure it's just at that period of year but it can be challenging to balance work/personal schedules.
