Pros

Great on the job training, career growth opportunities, and compensation.

Cons

Target is retail environment, and you need to know what you're getting into when you accept a job as management in a Target store. You will work nights (even overnight sometimes), weekends, and holidays. You will normally put in at least 50 hours a week, and it is a physically demanding job. There is not a lot of flexibility for work/life balance.

Pros

its a fun place but team members make it so, been to other stores to help and some team members were just bad so it depends on the store.

Cons

favoritism (well that depend on the store), managers quit all the time so is hard to stablish relations at stores and distribution center. Stores are sometime fair when it comes to time off and personal holidays or vacations. DC demand mandatory overtime and will fire you if you do not shown up or if you have a dotor's note. Some managers dont know what they are doing and find it easier to blame team than to take responsability of their actions. WILL recomend stores over distribution centers.

Pros

It is a stable company which is flexible with scheduling and time off requests. They provide educational reimbursements for team leads and above. The benefits package is excellent with health care as well as a liberal short term diabilitly package which is free and easy to use when needed.

Cons

The main downsides are the lack of communication about the business between Senior Management and the team leads. It is also almost impossible to advance beyond a team lead from within the company, however new college graduates can enter as Executive Team Leads. The team leads then train them to be our boss.
