Pros

The job is not very difficult. Decent pay for the work you do. You get an employee discount. The stores are nice and clean, and I felt safe working there. Usually the customers are very friendly, as most people enjoy shopping at target. Management is usually supportive, and there are promotions available sometimes, but not often.

Cons

I didn't like the hours. Its also difficult to get time off when needed. You also have to worry about the maturity level of some of the employees, as they hire folks who are in high school and don't really care too much about the job.

Pros

-can be easy 9-5. Hard to find any room for advancement without a degree. The company gives a substantial amount of money/goods to charity. The dress code is fairly laxed, for all employees, and they do at least once a year have a team build where all leaders in the building get together and connect.

Cons

Pay, and total pay package. ETL position requires significantly more than 10 hours daily work. Very stressful enviorment. Concerned with profits more than employee satisfaction. Upper level management can have little to no experience in retail, but with a degree more likely to receive ETL position than someone with job experience.

Pros

The most rewarding part for me is working with the diverse team members we have at my store. I've always enjoyed all of the Target stores that I've worked at - however I think the Boston District has been a unique and positive experience.

Cons

I am frequently expected to "bail" out my peers when they can't handle their own workload. This isn't an occasional thing. There are higher expectations on my performance. We're not all held accountable to our own core roles in a fair and consistent manner.
