Pros

Target has a great company culture. Employees are treated well, and there are good management opportunities with the company on the retail side, as well as compensation is satisfactory.

Cons

The farther stores are away from headquarters, the less attention they get from headquarters. This means that it can be very chancy how well a store operates.

Pros

Overall Target is a good company to work for. They have a great work life balance. Thier starting salary is great compared to other retailers.

Cons

We have to work 50 hour work weeks with no overtime. Politics at Target are aweful! Company is trying to become Walmart!

They don't take care of employees.

Pros

Benefits are best in the industry. There are promotional opportunities if you are young and have no ties to anything. It can be about who likes you though.

Cons

They do not appreciate their managers. I was told I had to make choices between my work life and my family life. If I took vacation, I would have to "make it up" to other managers in the store. They basically penalized me for vacation time, which is my right and benefit. They also have issues with integrity.
