Pros

Unlimited PTO, flexible hybrid schedule, decent work culture and benefits

Cons

I learned many lessons in enduring toxicity and deception in the workplace during my time at TV. I encountered behavior from leadership that was not only disrespectful but also blatantly dishonest, creating an environment where I felt undervalued and demoralized, daily. There is no such thing as transparency or integrity. You are either the "class pet" in a way, with promises to go far, or worked like a dog, and will never get any acknowledgment or growth. The arrogance of a team leader created a very hostile and toxic environment, specifically for the project managers. There is no legitimate direction or mentorship in how to grow in your position. I was often berated with corporate jargon and told that I would never succeed unless I was performing perfectly at all times. It's marketing, not surgery. I was never given clear tasks I did "wrong" either. The leadership leads off of emotions about a person, not about performance.

Pros

TV offers good benefits, especially the PTO policy, and a cool, young company culture. I had the opportunity to meet some amazing colleagues with whom I still maintain contact. While the workload can be demanding during peak seasons, the experience gained is highly valuable and significantly enhances your resume.

Cons

While I appreciated my daily interactions with colleagues, the work environment was challenging due to inconsistent and unclear feedback from management. The position saw a 1-2 year turnover, which I believe was influenced by limited growth opportunities and unclear expectations. There were discrepancies in feedback; praise from one manager contrasted with criticism from another, making it difficult to gauge performance. Additionally, the communication during one-on-one meetings often lacked clarity and actionable advice. Despite these challenges, the experience gained in this role was valuable and contributed significantly to my career development. Unfortunately, the potential of this role was overshadowed by the poor management practices.
