Pros

Fancy expectations with lowest benefits per market

Cons

1. Not so good the sold out Work-Life balance : Due to the nature of the industry, employees face long working hours, tight deadlines, and the need to be available outside regular working hours, which impact work-life balance. Which is exactly opposite to what is sold. 2. Bureaucracy: Being a large organization, TCS has significant bureaucratic processes, which might slow down decision-making and implementation of new ideas. 3. Salary and benefits : Most employees , al old timers, employees feel that the compensation packages, including salaries and benefits, are not as competitive compared to other top-tier IT firms, and also especially those in the early stages of careers. Not good for old timers and early joiners. 4. No Scope for Creativity - Working in unknown structured and stupid process-driven environment limit opportunities for creative thinking and innovation. 5. Global mobility and basic Infrastructure lack: Although TCS offers global opportunities, obtaining visas and relocating internationally is challenging and not mostly align with employees' personal preferences or timelines. Getting a basic laptop can be a challenge too.

Pros

Friendly co-workers. Friendly culture. Lots of diversity in projects.

Cons

Once you leave you can never return. I worked for TCS for nearly 8 years and went from making 72k/year to 91k/year. At a senior level I should have been making far more. The pay is sub par. As a Senior Software Engineer I made under 100k/year.
