Pros

The work is steady, the pay is OK and the equipment is decent at the terminal I worked.

Cons

The upper and middle management are clueless to the problems and issues in the company. If you as a driver/warehouse person relay an issue to management do not expect a positive response or resolve. It will fall on deaf ears. It is all about business metrics, and humanity (employee moral and respect) don't seem to factor in their administrative equation. This especially true since the company founder states that " we are an employee oriented company." Really? Talk is cheap and doesn't cost a thing, oh wait, high employee turnover that is a cost.

Pros

- Everyone I've met at Tax Air from managers, office employees, dispatchers to dock employees have been extremely friendly, helpful and have shown incredible amounts of understanding and appreciation. Recognizing we're humans, simple little comments like "hey, good job today" or "hey it's alright, stuff happens" when you mess up every now and then really go a long way to making it an enjoyable place to work. - Hours have been stable, making it easy to maintain a life with family and hobbies outside of work - Mentally, the job is simple enough that it's really low stress, while not being so brainless that it ever gets boring or tedious. - Physically, the routes I've been on have been really low impact, easy on the body and strike a good balance between comfort and effort. - Pay and benefits are good - Trucks are much nicer / newer than I'm used to

Cons

I was truthfully very hesitant and nervous to start working here, having read a good amount of negative reviews online and hearing some gossip around town... but im just not seein' it. I understand I havent really paid my dues or been through the up and down growing pains you could expect from a company adapting over decades and I havent earned the right to speak on certain struggles or complaints people have had... but as it stands, coming up on 6 months of employment, it's been a really great place to work.

Run Away!

Pros

They pay you. If you want to do very little work for very little pay, this is the place for you!

Cons

I have worked many places, and this place has the worst middle management I have ever bared witness. The pay is below standard, management is completely useless, many people working in the office with very little to do. It is a train-wreck of incompetence. People stay because they have no choice (been here too long to lose vacation) or because they are comfortable being barely useful, and no one will force any accountability. Drivers that have been here a long time are not happy, and force out any new drivers, even the good ones. They let good people go for a small wage difference, but pay for it 1,000 times over with cheap new employees, or none at all, and the new people are badlyl trained. Run!
