      Lots of interesting problems to solve. Great location for northerners

      Cons

      Too many incompetent managers at high positions, dragging the company down. Unclear future. Weak development team.

Yes, indeed, we have a lot of very interesting commercial and engineering problems to solve and the entire Outbrain team is working together to shape the future of our company and industry. We are committed to making it a wildly successful business and a wonderful place to work. A development team as big as ours has folks with different skill sets and uses that diversity to help those with less experience grow to be better professionals. A team that is constantly and successfully solving the interesting challenges mentioned above is by definition a strong one! There is always room to be better, but the management team is committed to improving our transparency and being as engaged as possible with our colleagues.       Sinking Ship, Horrible Moral

      Pros

      WFH, and free food of course.

      Cons

      1. Tons of lay offs 2. Massive amounts of people leaving from upper management, and lower end roles 3. No clear future insight, management can't see to figure out how to keep company profitable 4. Management doesn't understand that Corporate America doesn't view Outbrain as Google.

      Thank you for posting about your experience at Outbrain. Obviously, I never like to hear this type of feedback and am sorry your experience was not great. As was well documented in the industry press, we recently realigned a small part of our team so we could focus on areas of the business that are poised for rapid growth. Processes like this are never easy, but we felt it is the right move for the business at this time.
