Toxic and racist workplace

Pros

Benefits is the only positive thing I can say about Teads. But you can get them elsewhere if you look around

Cons

Where do I begin... Diversity - This company is the least diverse company I have ever worked for, so if you are a person of colour or a Black person you should think twice before applying here. The diversity of this company is shown during the summits when I saw for myself hardly any people or colour. This leads to the racism within this company, I have witnessed and heard many people say microaggression comments to Black colleagues and people of colour. I have been told by Black colleagues racist things their colleagues have said and no one takes it seriously because it’s all “just a joke”. Need I not mention this is not just Black people or people of colour they have targeted but anyone that is foreign they have called Chinese people Ch*nks and even calling Indian people P*kis. People have complained about this to senior management and they have not done anything. Even when they do try and take something “seriously” all you would expect is a company meeting and then it is forgotten about, and these individuals are then back to their racist remarks. They are only showing now they seem to care about diversity because of the Black Lives Matter. They didn’t care about the actions and words of their employees did then, and they don’t care now. They are only showing that they “care” because they are jumping on the Black Lives Matter bandwagon. Internally they are not even doing that much compared to other companies. It’s a joke of a company even when they post about Black Lives Matter externally it doesn’t get any attention or they get a backlash from it because many employees and previous employees know how they are like. Toxic workplace This company is based on favouritism, I have seen my colleagues work so hard for years and not get a promotion, yet their teammates will get promoted for doing half the job they are doing. I have seen them lose great people due to their lack of caring for their employees and the toxicity employees faced day for day. I have seen colleagues leave because they couldn't handle the toxicity in the workplace. They will bully and harass people and Senior management will do nothing about it. There is no room for career growth unless you are the following: 1) Senior managements favourites 2) Take drugs 3) Sleeping with sales There is no in between. The company is like a boys club for men where they can cheat on their wife’s/girlfriend’s and the girls are like 'mean girls' where you have to be popular/pretty or either taking drugs to get into their group of friends. It is very clicky, especially in the London office. You won’t get far if you think you can get a promotion by just working hard. Just be close with the sales teams, do drugs and sleep your way to the top is how Teads works. Like it or not, this is the ugly truth about this company no one wants to admit. Teads have shown themselves that during a wake of a global pandemic they do not care about their employees.

We’re really shocked and disappointed to read your feedback because these behaviours do not align with our Company values. Our Company takes these types of complaints very seriously, so we’re surprised to hear that you have had this experience. You mention your attendance at our Company summits, our last one being nearly two years ago meaning that you’ve been an employee for quite some time now – we’d really hate to think any of our team would feel this way not to mention a long-standing employee. We’d really like the chance to speak with you and make things right so please do speak up to someone that you trust so that we can address these allegations directly. Furthermore, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is a top priority for us and if you have concerns and/or suggestions to further support our mission, please reach out to the Teads Together Council email group.

Pros

Half decent product Subsidised snacks Central location

Cons

Demotivated team Un-inspiring Senior level management (old timers promoted to senior positions as a result of being with the company from the start) Weak senior management leadership and focus Reactive rather than proactive company (constantly chasing competitors (Taboola) and bad mouthing them to potential clients Bullying management and HR Team (HR Team are self employed and therefore are keen to keep employed hence not addressing serious problems including bullying and intimidation from senior team members and team heads) Very long working hours (always on culture even at evenings and weekends and whilst in vacation) I would only advise people join this company if you are thick skinned and can deal with high levels of office politics and lack of direction

Pros

Nice colleagues - great, smart people

Cons

- The great people mentioned in the "pro" are all leaving - Promotions without raises that one should just "accept" - OB overestimates the bonding their employees have to the company ("when a promotion becomes an insult") - Management decisions and promises not being kept over the past year have led to lack of trust - Outbrain is in a crisis and management is silent - Nearly every employee suffers after the past year - "friends" lost their jobs and its being ignored - Every department does what it wants, there seems to be no collaboration - Good work is not being honoured
