Pros
laxed environment and can be fun
Cons
-the service desk manager loves to hire and promote based on friendships he makes and not on the person's experience or senority. -not a female or ethnic-minority friendly place. -CEO and CFO completely disregard blatant displays of sexism and racism and the service desk manager partakes in the deplorable behavior. _they require tier 2 work from tier 1 techs and require T2s to be as proficient as Engineers but with far less pay. -You must be a jack-of-all-trades to excel here. -very cliquey; the service desk manager has a discord and -they have deplorable pay based on the skill they expect you to have. no one should make 16 an hour working IT Tier 1 or 20 an hour for Tier 2 work when they don't even offer medical insurance...and that's another. -no medical insurance. -this is the type of place that tries to incentivize pizza and act like it's a reward we want. -requires in office days despite no reason to be there other then having line of sight on you for the day. -this company preys on people with an unsavory past in order to exploit their talent and leverage a profit against them. If the company gets close to 500 an on site visit for an 8 hour day but only pay the person 16-25 an hour. -I think it speaks volumes it I tell my story... I was demoted and same day was hired at a new job working hybrid making 68000 a year doing T1 work. By the second week working with my new company I was sent to NC to onboard a new business and was training networking by the 3rd week. Companies need to invest in their people; I begged for training but received nothing but got demoted for "productivity". I did not know what they expected me to know and they refused to provide any insight or training. I hope some of the current employees see this and rethink their careers because there are several very smart individuals here that could be making way more money than me. -ALSO salary transparency is not against the law so no matter what your employer says talk with your coworkers and see what they are making because wages need to be fair.
