Pros

First, I want to say that I can’t speak for everyone, nor do I claim to. This review is based solely on my own personal experience at the company and my opinions of it based on my experience. Just because I’ve had an incredible time working here, doesn’t mean you will or that everyone has. That would be naïve to think and ignorant to claim. If you’re reading these reviews to try and gauge what your experience would be like with the company if you decide to apply / accept a job offer here, then my advice is this: go with your gut. Other people’s opinions are biased. If you want to work here it must be for a reason so even if you spend only a year or so working here, it won’t be time wasted. Take every experience as a learning experience, and leave it at that. The worst thing you can do is let other people’s opinions (who aren’t you) affect your decisions, because at the end of the day you’re the only person who knows what’s right for you. That being said, here’s what I’ve personally enjoyed about working here: The camaraderie among my fellow coworkers The constant influx of new and interesting projects The lack of micromanagement from senior staff members The perks The fact that it’s employee-owned My salary

Cons

I’ve personally experienced very few “cons” in my time at Technomics. The only issue I’ve noticed is that sometimes larger company goals aren’t communicated clearly enough to some departments and there have been miscommunications in the past that led to unnecessary confusion. That being said, it never affected me or my work, but it is something I’ve noticed.

Competitive pay and benefits

Pros

Competitive compensation and good job security if you’re a good worker. The company seems to have a good sense of who to hang on to and who to let go at any given time. It’s all about showing your value. It’s really no different from any other job for practically any other industry. Show your worth or don’t let the door hit you on the way out. It’s reasonable but of course people will complain.

Cons

It’s not the most exciting job in the world but it’s steady and it pays the bills.

Pros

A small consulting company that offers great benefits, like paid overtime and almost free healthcare. Technomics is reputable in the cost community, and is growing quickly into other sectors. Because there's more work than people, you may find yourself on two or three projects, getting to grow multiple skillsets at once (coding, data visualization, portfolio management, independent cost assessments). They try to hire highly motivated and really intelligent people, they succeed most of the time

Cons

Since it's a small consulting company, the pay isn't as competitive as the larger consulting companies. The paid overtime and year-end bonuses help to make up for the salary difference, but don't expect a big bonus if you don't put in some unpaid work, like internal training initiatives or proposal writing.
