      Pros

      There are some really knowledgable associates that are willing to share their experience. The management in operations is really taking the employee engagement surveys to heart. There have been many noticeable changes in how the senior leadership in manufacturing behaves.

      Cons

      There seems to be more of a focus on surviving in the marketplace and not thriving. The overall theme in senior management is more tactical than strategic. It would be nice to see a bigger focus on strategy from senior level management. The CEO gives high level talks about strategy, but little is translated down into the other levels of leaders within the company.

      Pros

      very smart co-workers - all work very hard and own their jobs.

      Cons

      spotty management - some departments have poor managers not skilled at managing diversity of characters - speaking of diversity, i can count on one hand how many African Americans i see in my building.

      Pros

      Before the layoff''s in 2007/8 was still a great company to work for. Then the new owners moved in with mass changes in staff.

      Cons

      Many positions once long term careers left employees without jobs. Danaher rolled through laying off major departments only to rehire and outsource those same jobs.
