A Company Searching for the Next Big Thing

Pros

At Tektronix I worked with some of the brightest engineers on the planet. We produced bleeding edge products used by industry leaders. Pay is satisfactory, benefits are typical.

Cons

The parent company, Fortive (ne Danaher), is evidently concerned only with the next quarterly numbers. This is a myopic view due to the lengthy development schedule of complex products under development. As a result, a lot of the talent has either been pushed out or has moved on to work at competitors.
