Pros

Job low stress, supervisors are really good and helpful. Friendly work environment with co-workers. Great benefits but medical ins premiums are a little high. Clean working environment...no broken chairs, etc, opportunity for promotions to many different departments as the co is growing.

Cons

Management in Lewisville is a problem. You are promised great pay but then they make adherence extremely tough to reach which knocks you out of your bonus no matter how hard you work. Constant changes in procedures. Management doesn't show care for employees...we are almost a "liability" to the company. You are penalized if you are caught on a phone call and can't take your break or lunch on time ea day.

Pros

Highly talented employees are overshadowed by poor performers. Some of the mediocre leaders are gone, but two to three remain

Cons

The company presents a product with notable attributes yet struggles with lingering technical debt and questionable sales leadership. While there are capable individuals throughout, the system appears to favor the promotion and retention of less effective employees, often incentivized through frequent bonuses. The performance management approach seems inconsistent, with underwhelming performance not being adequately addressed. The board's pattern of appointing favored executives has had a progressively negative impact on both morale and business outcomes. The current President of USGH, who was significantly involved in the downturn of key revenue-generating products and has not made sales plan in years, still retains substantial influence and a role in the company. This leader’s preference for sycophants over proactive change agents has been a point of concern. Anticipations were high with the arrival of the new CEO, and while some decisions align with expectations, there are notable exceptions. As investors increase their stakes in the company, the potential for Teladoc to make significant strides in healthcare seems to be waning. There should be a call for a reassessment of the board’s composition, with a need for individuals who can make constructive changes rather than perpetuating a cycle of overpaid, ineffective leadership.

Pros

- You'll find some really smart engineers to learn from and collaborate with. - Work-life balance can be decent (but keep in mind, it's highly dependent on the team you're in). - A few teams stand out as being pretty good, even though they're the exception rather than the rule.

Cons

- Teladoc isn't quite a tech company; it feels more like a traditional business with a strong focus on politics, even at the IC level. - There's a prominent "top-down" hierarchy in place. - A "yes sir" culture is prevalent, so if you prefer to work quietly without questioning tasks, this could be the place for you. - Brownnosers seem to thrive here. - The company has a large org mentality, treating people as resources and fostering an "every man for himself" mindset. - Vast majority of managers and team leads act more like "bosses" than leaders, and numerous true leaders have already left the company. - Work-life balance can be really poor in some teams. -Collaboration between teams is limited, negatively impacting productivity and innovation. At times, it feels like different teams are not only unable, but also seemingly uninterested in working together effectively. - Business processes are not well-established, and it seems that improving them is not a priority for the company.
