These dynamics are reinforced by amoral and unethical behavior within department leadership. Opportunities and visibility aren’t based on merit or impact, but on personal alliances. High standards and real competence are seen as threats by management, who engage in behaviors that suppress growth, restrict exposure, and limit recognition. These actions are calculated to protect a specific internal hierarchy designed to serve personal interests. Backstabbing and emotional hostility are the norm, and there’s a clear lack of psychological safety, ironically directed at those who uphold high standards, deliver meaningful results, and actually care about the organization’s wellbeing.

No longer the leader in telemedicine. Constant layoffs, lack of accountability, and transparency. Complete turnover amongst leadership over the last year led to no change. Lay off entire teams as a group. This place is laughable.
