Pros

* The short seller report said the executives have a "history of promoting disruptive technology companies, cashing out early, and leaving public shareholders with losses or lackluster returns". Taking this into account as well as other factors, I was able to cash out RSUs at much higher share prices than the stock is currently trading at.

Cons

* The other reviews that mention bullying and verbal or psychological abuse are along the lines of what I saw. In addition, it seems to be a feature and not a bug. In other words, the people in charge seem to believe that people work better when being abused. Instead of using regular means of incentives or motivation like pay or enjoyable work environment, fear of abuse or losing one's job is the main tool of getting others to do work. If you're not at least enabling bullying and abuse, you'll always be on the outside and never trusted. * This company changed its name from Tempus Labs to Tempus AI in what seems to be a big grift. The stock jumped for a bit because Nancy Pelosi bought the stock (yay corruption). The engineering is a joke and often engineers have their performance judged by non technical managers who joined some lab company called Tempus Labs years ago. In all fairness, the people often in charge of engineering decisions didn't join a tech company so they're setup to fail.

Pros

Generally provides job security, but when management decides to dislike someone, they will randomly disappear

Cons

- Weak managers, specifically in the genomics product organization. Over multiple years this product 'leader' was unable to improve roadmap and product processes within their organization despite having over 5 years of tenure at the company. Management is largely ineffective and will allocate resources on the incorrect priorities, where employees will work on something they believe is a priority for over 6 months and then the priorities change. - Favoritism and unprofessional managers - over the course of 3 years I watched multiple promotions based on favoritism and not merit based promotions. -Tempus AI does not look out for their employees - their typical merit based increase is 1-3% a year (what is that when inflation has been 10%/year the past several years?), and there isn't 401K match. The health plan dedutcables have gone up significantly over 3 years

Pros

Free snacks, the work we do helps patients

Cons

Currently undergoing a lawsuit regarding discrimination (racism and sexism) that led to a woman being bullied out of her position here; if you’d like to know more, it’s easy to search for. Management shows heavy favoritism. Very difficult to grow here if you don’t end up on management’s good side. They take advantage of people’s work ethics and have them work overtime repeatedly with no recognition or thanks. There’s no 401K match and the medical/dental/vision benefits are truly awful. Unlimited PTO was taken away from us.
