Pros

Often hiring, good branding, new office, barista on-site (but really the drinks are just okay)

Cons

Lowest salaries and difficult to get equity. WIth unlimited vacation you end up being afraid to ask and don't get PTO payout. If you complain, then you are made to feel bad like "well this environment is too fast for you, it's a startup, you have to work quicker" and then they question if you even care about the patients. Everything the JDAs say is true. Management was mean to them from the start, making snide remarks and jokes at their expense in front of the entire company. Other teams are also dealing with the same crap of being overworked with the expectation that you work forever with "voluntary" overtime all the time. There's no more work smart mentality, just work until you're burnt out, but you can't burn out because you're so easily replaceable. Sales and Operation teams are treated like Gods, which makes the rest of us undervalued.

Pros

Growing company, strong mission. Free food.

Cons

beware of the Junior Data Analyst position. That team is led by a group of sociopaths that don't understand how to nurture and grow a team of fresh out of school grads. Though many of the obstacles facing the job role are the fault of management, nobody wants to take responsibility and all delays are blamed upon the JDAs for their "inadequate intelligence and lack of care for solving cancer"! They aren't concerned about the high turnover and are more worried about looks than results when it comes to their jobs. The work is monotonous, depressing, and on top of that, full of unwarranted pressure.

Tempus wants the impossible: cheaply paid labor and high retainment

Pros

similar to CRO's, tempus is designed to wring everything they can out of recent grads with minimal work experience before they eventually get enough experience to quit and move onto positions with better pay and benefits. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing- Tempus gets cheap labor, and entry level employees get their foot into the door in industry. It's a reciprical relationship

Cons

If you operate on the above model, you can't be bitter when your employees eventually move on. Tempus handles resignations extremely unprofessionally, even for employees who have stayed for several years and give their full two weeks notice. If you're annoyed about staffing cuts, take that up with the people controlling benefits and how many people you're allowed to hire, not your employees.
