Pros

Benefits, wage, new technology, sharp instruments

Cons

Lots of work. For a new pt you get 1 hour- you have to take fmx, pano if they have 3rds, perio chart, ocs with velscope, intraoral photos, check up and prophy. When patients hear they can’t get prophy they get upset. Each patient (new or returning) reviews you. They are very particular patients. Assistants don’t want to help. Hours are 6:30-3 for morning shift, 12-8:30 for pm shift, 7:30-5 for Saturday shift. You’re always at work or commuting from work. Saturday are so long. You get Sunday off and then you back here Monday 6:30 am.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for all you do to serve our members. We are glad to hear that you are happy with Tend's total rewards (compensation & benefits), plus the technology and instruments we provide for our teams. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience as we understand how important it is to listen to our team, and your valuable feedback, to drive a better organization. We apologize for any shortcomings you have experienced. Our mission is to make patients look forward to the dentist and have access to care. Patient satisfaction is a key component of this which we achieve, in part, by providing our members with access to high quality care during hours other dental offices are closed and listening to their feedback to continue to improve the experience. We strive to create an environment where every employee feels valued, respected and supported by their team. Throughout the interview process we are transparent to ensure each candidate fully understands the responsibilities of the position and the studio schedule. Our employees thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and get satisfaction from the unique opportunity to help patients in their path to better oral health. We'd love to learn more about your perspective and continue the conversation with you. Pros

First thing first, this job is not for the faint of heart or for anyone who expects to sit around and get paid for doing nothing. Tend is a start up Dental company with a laser focus on inner city/metro areas meaning, there's a lot of work to do! Growth is uncomfortable for some people and if you're one of them, this probably isn't the right fit for you. Tend will show you what you're truly made of. It's inspiring, collaborative, fast paced and without a doubt, tenacious. There is room for growth and a space to be heard if you're courageous enough to speak. Tend values its employees feedback and supports its staff. This is just the beginning and it's already an incredible ride! Both hub and studios do fun and interesting things such as having lunch catered in once a month for all employees with birthdays and work-versaries, annual Tendee awards, random trivia battles and more. Personally have never loved a job as much as I love working for Tend. Not everyone is motivated by the same aspects of a job, but if you're driven, positive, confident, courageous, or resilient it's an amazing company to work for.

Cons

You may have to work late/from home sometimes when the company needs you to, but that is balanced with the ability to work from home when YOU need to; it's a fair trade. Since Tend has had and will continue to have such rapid growth, there are a lot of changes that happen fairly frequently, which can be stressful for some, for others it's exhilarating.
