Pros

Tetadata is HQ in beautiful San Diego. They take good care of the lawn.

Cons

Teradata is extremely hierarchical. C-level individuals micro-manage their teams. Working remotely is not acceptable. Unlimited PTO but not encouraged to take more than three weeks. Paternity leave is only two weeks. Salaries are meh for San Diego, but not competitive in the tech industry. Engineering driven. The Teradata way overrules industry best practices.

Great training programs, home office, flexible hours and good benefits.

Cons

Even though benefits are good, the salary is below the market. Good employees continue to leave the company.
