Pros

Difficult to think of any pros. Salary and benefits are average. Some employees are hard working.

Cons

Ranks among worst companies if you are female and/or minority. Culture of sexism and racism supported in local Branch Offices. Branch Manager is King. HR seems to be indifferent to actions of Branch Managers even when they bad mouth former and current employees to other employees, scream at employees and otherwise act unprofessionally. Cut throat sales culture with same lead passed to multiple salespeople resulting in wasted time and effort. No assigned territories so much of salesperson's time is spent tripping over other salespeople. Run don't walk away from this company. No exit interviews further showing company could care less about feedback from workers. Industry is not growing which means that the opportunities strictly involve taking market share from competitors based on price.

Pros

The only thing that comes to mind are the benefits. They start on day one and the 401k match is fully vested.

Cons

The quality of the leads are my biggest issue. Most of my leads were in an economically challenged area. There are some people in these areas that have thousands of dollars to get rid of bed bugs or termites, etc. But I was more likely to run into the renter, the person on a fixed income, or the ones that are just getting by. When I interviewed for the position I was told that there were so many inbound leads that there would be no time for cold calling but in less than a month I was given a list of customers to call to trick my way into their homes under the guise of an inspection to sell them something they didn't ask for. Other cons - Sales leads for attic insulation for a two flat or dormer - Showing up for scheduled inspections and having the customer say they cancelled or did not request an inspection. This was after being told not to call before arriving. - Using my own gas on all of these bad leads and not being reimbursed

Pros

There is a lot of potential, and they train well. You get a percentage of your route's production plus sales minus cancels. If you have a lot of cancels, your paycheck suffers. If you run your route and nobody wants a termite inspection, your paycheck suffers. Some individuals made 9k per month. Some only around 2. There is no need to promote. If you do well you can bring home $5k per month to your family.

Cons

Lots of hours, and if you get unlucky the pay can be very low. You are stuck in bed bugs, rat feces, roaches, and other nasty stuff. You will suddenly be given stops on your full day that you can't complete, and because you didn't make it to them on time you will be penalized, and customers will be upset. There is no real moving up from this position. Managers commonly make less than a good pest tech with a dialed in route.
