Pros

For a first time entry level outside sales job it has a lot of positives. Company car, I phone, I pad gas and a small salary of 20k a year paid twice a month which breaks down to about upper 500s lower 600 depending on your benefits and what you claim on taxes .The corporate training is extensive . All the Techs ive worked with are great and mean well and go out of there way to really help the customer which is the number one thing you need to keep growing ! The excitement of the hunt and the joy of the kill ! [ sorry costumers] But there is a true real rush of excitement every time you make that sale !! And honestly i wanted to give the company a 2.5 ! due to its age and the great people i have met .

Cons

You do not get any commission till you hit 20001 they give you the bs of company car but come on it is a ford focus ! for 20k a month we should have full size 300s or some thing worth us pretty much paying/making them 20k a month for it. As i said before corporate's training is good but very rushed But than at the office level it is beyond fail ! It is sink or swim ! Add in slow or non functional computers way to many systems that could and should be done with one than Some how the main offices you work out of just expect you to know everything with out telling you anything out the gate . And sadly the majority of other osp's just roll with it instead of stepping up and helping the new people. Than we are were all feed the outright lie we would be fed quality appointments ....nope you will cold call people on your free time if you find any because your expected to do 6 sales calls a day and always have 6 for the next day in the pipe . SO now you will get to enjoy being a door to door salesman and a telemarketer add in your also trying to get large chunks of money and some of your leads may be people already paying the company large amounts a month o boy lots of fun !! The local management i have worked with is so stressed it is almost comical add a lot is just as green or worse than me. I still like to give the company a 2.5 the reason i will not go 3 is also due to its age . They are trying but they seem to blind to see something is majorly wrong when you can have training classes every month of 30 or more . O almost forgot they did realize they were not paying right and did make a change for new osp's to make 30k instead of 20k a year unfortunately people hired few days apart in the same train classes did not get the 30k company just decided to screw them right over my sarcastic standing ovation to management there! Way to screw over your people !

Pros

Company car and gas card.

Cons

I'm not sure where I start. The pay plan has changed on me 3 times in 2 years. It used to be someplace I enjoyed working at however, they certainly changed my mind on that. 20k salary that dropped 4 to 6k because of the company cars. You only get paid commission on recurring sales, and you have to be over 20k to get any bonus commission. Commisions are only 3% under 20k for certain sales. Other high dollar sales that may only be a one time sale are paid 0 commission unless over 20k then only on the amount over that. Always fighting with payroll to get what you are supposed to be paid. Trying to sell something that you know you're customers are going to get crappy service is hard to do. I've been in sales forever as well as many years in pest control. This is the worst.
