Long hours and everything that corporate teams cut in terms of support or can't find a home for in regards to new initiatives lands on the local branch to handle, i.e. , reduce call center support for customers, give the customers the cell phone number of the managers at the branch so they can contact them directly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
