      Good company with decent benefits but cultural inconsistencies

      Pros

      Enjoyed cultural resources team, good company with decent benefits. Safety focused.

      Cons

      Company is maybe too big for its own good. Culture and offices vary so drastically from office to office across the country. My office didn’t invest in Cultural Resources and team suffered for it. Office I was in also felt like the “boys club,” if you were in with the cool kids you were in, otherwise goodluck.

      Good Company but supports you moving jobs in order to get paid appropriately

      Pros

      There is an ESOP - employer contribution is about 3 percent match Nationwide work Not just one sector of work

      Cons

      If you want to leave before 5 years is up you do not get all of your ESOP There is a lot of favoritism and not really corporate structure to how people get paid. ie the guy at the desk next to you might know a lot less and do a lot less and show up for the company a lot less and you'll still get paid the same or less than him regardless of credentials or how hard you work or who you ask about it - which maybe a lot of these larger firms are that way - however that promotes you leaving the company to get better pay and potentially never circle back to Terracon at all No residential work so there is a missing sector for experience
