      Joining Terracon was certainly the best career decision I’ve made. Knowledgeable and caring upper management, always willing to help; Competetive compensation; Good benefits; Good work/life balance; Interesting projects offering a lot to learn; Career advancement opportunities and a lot of room to grow; Outstanding company culture; and High safety and quality standards.

      Cons

      Nothing that I can think of. This of course is relative and based on comparison with other firms in this industry.

      Great safety culture, good benefits, employee-owned.

      Cons

      Poor communication, burn out is not a factor and not much room to grow in smaller offices.

      Good company for part-time work as a student

      Pros

      Worked part-time at Terracon Charlotte while completing my engineering degree. Flexible hours. Good teaching and mentoring from other employees, supervisors, and project managers. Good safety culture. Tight knit office.

      Cons

      Pay for part-time employees is less than most firms hiring engineering students as interns. For full-time, there was a lot of discontent among employees with a lot of work experience but not a high level of education. For example, one excellent employee could not be promoted to project manager because he did not have a bachelor's degree. He was more than qualified for the position.
