      Pros

      Good tech on the construction materials service line and a strong safety mind overall with safety buy-in from the top down. Generally, good people to work with a strong willingness to help people succeed. Environmental and Geotechnical service lines have a strong mentorship program to help a person grow in their role and advance. Materials service line has great opportunities to advance from a technician to a project manager, especially if you are willing to move.

      Cons

      The only concern of the new middle and upper management is how the numbers look on paper today and not what is coming down the line. Upper management seems to micro-manage timesheets and consulting fee goals.

      Paid training, 3-4 weeks of paid time off per year, 401k with company match, employee owned, career opportunities across the country, career growth opportunities, stable company with continued expected growth

      Cons

      medical insurance has gotten progressively worse (though that is likely due to requirements and changes related to the Affordable Care Act)

      Pros

      Well organized company with good management from top down. Excellent focus on safety culture in construction. Training and continuing education are encouraged.

      Cons

      Poor work-life balance due to schedule of construction industry and widespread location of work (lots of regional travel). High turnover of inexperienced/new employees.
