Pros

I have met some great people while working here and learned more then i ever expected.

Cons

In the last 5 years the company has taken a different approach focusing solely on the bottom line and it affects the small noncorporate people who are not involved in these decisions. Terracon used to be very family-friendly and now its chargeability #1 then safety #2 Family somewhere later as long as you are making money. Career advancement is talked about aot but follow-through is very minimal until it benefits someone p the chain.

Pros

Often travel to remote sites with generous per diem, good work experience if you allow yourself to learn, a lot of overtime if you're looking for it, most of the work is outdoors, and the office environment is pretty good

Cons

*Sometimes had to contend with dangerous wildlife unarmed *Some unaccountability that could have been catastrophic were it not for the good judgment of underlings *Some folks are expected to perform above their paygrade seemingly without willingness to scale compensation accordingly, hence why I'm looking outside the company

Pros

Terracon provides decent benefits to its employees and is a good ethical company to work for we strive ourselves on our integrity and it shows in many of our assignments. Our benefits include decent healthcare coverage 401(k) including company contribution and employee stock options.

Cons

However I’ve noticed among my peers we do seem to be on the low end of the salary range. This is surprising because Terracon is typically regarded as a more expensive consulting firm. We typically work more than 40 hours a week therefore the pay is even more exaggerated low
