Lack of communication between leadership and staff Managers seldom see or speak to their employees Little opportunity for advancement Hiring of more very highly paid consultants who 'build and run' leaving staff to clean up their messes Loss of key staff due to poor management Remote workers in other cities (and on campus) who aren' t pulling their weight Parking nearby is expensive and off-campus parking option adds 20 minutes to your commute each way TCH isn't sending staff to Wisconsin for certification

Disfunction in HR

Compensation, benefits, overall mission of the organization.

Cons

Human Resources is extremely dysfunctional. HR leaders do not demonstrate the values or expectations the organization is built upon. It would be putting it mildly to say politics and favoritism are the main drivers in HR and are the basis of most decisions. Turn-over is extremely high. Micro-bullying and aggression are evident, however, the organization appears unwilling to confront these issues and actually hold HR leaders accountable for the values/policies they allegedly profess to hold true. HR leadership decisions are made based on emotion, not facts, which increases risk for the organization. HR SME's are ignored to the point that legal compliance is compromised. Little to no autonomy is provided to senior level employees. It is a very tactical function with little to no forward thinking. The function is about 20 years behind the curve and unwilling to embrace any significant change.

Pros

Actually offer a pension plan. Clean hospital. Safe and secure. Compensation is fair but not the best. Good reputation. Seems professional.

Cons

Leadership/ executives are insensitive and only concerned with profit and expanding. Employees are not valued. Plenty of disgruntled employees. Favoritism within departments. Working here hasn’t really been a pleasant experience
