Pros

benefits, depending on manager flexible work environment.

Cons

TI can allow a manager to make or break a employee career based on pre-defined prejudiced or and fears that maybe your employee is more knowledgeable than the manager; instead the manager turning that opportunity in to win-win for both; they chose to destroy the employee credibility and create perception that prevent the employee from advancing or get a job in a different area of the company.

Don't work here - the company is dying

Pros

Constant reorgs - so if you don't like your current job, just wait 6 months. It'll change and or/you'll have a new boss. Of course, if you LIKE this, it's a 'pro'. If not, it's a 'con'.

Cons

I worked for the Santa Clara campus, and it was truly working for the 'satellite'' office of the "Dallas Mothership". In other words, unless you are part of the mothership, you won't have any decision power or move up the corporate ladder. This company is so old school, it's a dinosaur. Benefits are also sub par for CA employees, and the pay is below the average in other Silicon Valley companies.

Pros

Ethics is large part of the organization, and speaking what is right is not punished. Health benefits are good, and there is a great opportunity to get extensive real world experience that is often held for employees with more tenure. Flex-time can be used, which really helps when you have nightly calls with Asia. Challenging work, and a great opportunity to work with smart people.

Cons

two different cultures in the Analog and Embedded processing segments. Work life balance is difficult to have when the job demands are more than the people to complete the job. Diversity can take priority to merit.
