Great Company

Pros

The culture at TI is awesome. The environment is laid back and the people you get to work with are always willing to help out when needed. The benefits package is also great. Strongly encouraged to move laterally or horizontally within the company depending on your preference. Work flexibility and ability to maintain work/life balance are very appealing.

Cons

From a technology standpoint as a software engineer, you won't be working on anything considered 'cutting-edge'. The work is very interesting and challenging but the software used to do it isn't the latest and greatest.

Pros

TI hires straight from college for a very generous salary, and the atmosphere promotes a lot of learning early on. As a way to get a well known, reputable company on your resume TI is amazing! The job pays well, has great benefits, and is very stable.

Cons

Worker morale seems to be a step above pure apathy outside of management. The environment tailors itself as a treadmill, an endless pursuit, rather than having clear cut goals. There also does not seem to be a feeling of upward momentum. It seems stability has come at the cost of striving for something greater.
