Pros

The company, relative to other semi companies, has good overall management and direction. I have friends in the other semi companies that have worked for TI that confirm this. There is excellent flexibility, so you can move from manufacturing to marketing if you are a good performer.

Cons

Communication is not too good which is typical of large corporations trying to balance the approriate amount of communication with too much, that could lead to lower productiivty. As with every company, there are some bad apples in management. The downside for the company is that they take too long to flush them out.

Pros

Good company if you want to get lost in the crowd, because the company is so big. Vast array of projects you can work on and a ton of stuff to learn. The work environment is comfortable.

Cons

Too much middle management and reinventing of the wheel. The company rewards management, but doesn't do a good job of rewarding individual technical contributors as well as they should. I've seen many instances where maybe one person's output, skill level, and performance far outweighs another's, but the delta in pay is significantly less.
