Pros

Exposure to latest technology trends - before they make the papers! International flavor - colleagues from all over the world. TI does care about its employees, for the most part. They will do the right thing, usually. If there is a problem, it is usually not company policy, it is a rogue manager. Good benefits.

Cons

Insular culture - Top management is dominated by Texans. Although there are many managers and employees from all around the world, at the end of the day, it is a very Southern perspective that dominates. This means that if there is an Elephant in the Room, they will act like you are Rude for saying so. Or they will tell you to remove the elephant, but will not give you any resources to manage Elephant removal. If you're not an engineer, you don't matter. Travel can be insane.

Pros

Large company, decent benefits. Lots of opportunity if you want to live in the Dallas area.

Cons

Lack of trust in HR representatives. Promises made but not kept. If you are a part of an acquired company, start looking for other opportunities immediately.

Pros

Fair pay and benefits. tend to have products in growth areas so there is always something to learn or be excited about. Many travel opportunities.

Cons

A lot of meetings. Seemingly drastic business decisions resulting in sale or termination of large groups. Consequently, it felt like a rather cutthroat environment. Slight image problem: most people don't know where what they produce besides calculators.
