Had enough and left

Pros

- Focus on ethics - Many good people still in the company - Good pay/benefits, profit sharing - Good place to learn for people right out of school

Cons

- People outside Dallas are treated as second-rate citizens. Above a certain level, you have to move to Dallas otherwise you can forget promotion or influence - Middle-level management quality varies enormously - Portions of the company are very political - Bureaucratic and getting worse - Top-down management style - Many of the most visionary and passionate people have left

Don't work here - the company is dying

Pros

Constant reorgs - so if you don't like your current job, just wait 6 months. It'll change and or/you'll have a new boss. Of course, if you LIKE this, it's a 'pro'. If not, it's a 'con'.

Cons

I worked for the Santa Clara campus, and it was truly working for the 'satellite'' office of the "Dallas Mothership". In other words, unless you are part of the mothership, you won't have any decision power or move up the corporate ladder. This company is so old school, it's a dinosaur. Benefits are also sub par for CA employees, and the pay is below the average in other Silicon Valley companies.

Pros

Profit Sharing. Used to be a great company to work in, specially in fab engineering role.

Cons

Work/life balance is getting worse every year. Management is very conservative on spending money on right things. Salary increment is less.
