Pros

Big company in a very affordable big city (Dallas). Good entry level exposure to electrical engineering. Very flexible to move around within the company.

Cons

For application engineering role, the work becomes less exciting after 1-2 years and learning tampers. Board level design is available within the company, but cannot experience the whole board level product process as TI is a semiconductor focused company.

Pros

In my business division, the environment is very lax, and inclusive. The hours can be demanding at times but the culture promotes collaboration

Cons

There are far too many people constantly shifting roles within the company so it’s difficult to gain traction on long-term projects when every new-hire has to be brought to speed. There’s also a push to have employees work in the office everyday
