Pros

Good compensation; consider living cost in Dallas is relatively low compare to other major cities. Employees, most of junior manager are friendly people who are willing to help.

Cons

With that being said, upper level management really lack mid to long term, constructive view. Out-competed by competition in many markets, cutting the supporting group and push entire team to find "merging market" is pretty desperate. Not to mention the impatience and short time line allowed to develop such a new market (usually range from 8-12 months from market research to significant results). For semiconductor industry, this does not make sense.

Pros

Many great benefits. Love the On-site Gym. Very involved with volunteering for great causes (Breast cancer awareness, JDRF, United Way, etc).

Cons

It is not easy moving roles to gain more experience in certain areas. They'll tell you in the beginning that TI is such a big company and it is fairly easy to rotate within the company, but they fail to mention that it is very discipline based. You will succeed if you are an Electrical/Computer Engineer. You're lucky if you are able to move up with any other "related" degree. It's all about who you know.

Pros

Worked with pretty good people, had a very good direct supervisor. But they could only do so much.

Cons

No opportunity for growth, or opportunity to move from contract to permanent position
