Pros

Ramp-up & training is great. It's all planned out and feels like an extension of college (in a good way). Projects are interesting & your peers are VERY helpful. They really do want you to succeed. Easy to move groups if you don't like what you're doing

Cons

Project-based scheduling. Some days you can work without stress, other days you can be staying late at the lab or working weekends (though usually, your manager will compensate you for it) Management can be hit or miss, if your manager is a political boot licker you're screwed. Hard to move up the ladder past manager of a team.

So far, so good.

Pros

Good pay compared to other companies in the area. Good balance of work and life. Managers are generally easy to work with. Company seems to be willing to make moves if you are not happy with current role.

Cons

Lots of forms and 'bureaucratic' hoops involved.
