Pros

A paycheck (You have to go line by line to verify it is correct.) Newer equipment. Good coworkers.

Cons

You will be treated like a number. You won't get paid for everything you do. If they say you'll get paid 250 to do something...your paycheck will say 200. Without warning or discussion. Senior Management up front isn't accessible and doesn't care to know you or help you. They will walk right past you without speaking. Just drop gas. If you make a mistake they will deduct it from your check. 1st mistake after 15 years..who cares. Seniority means nothing. Safety will speak to you disrespectfully over the phone. They call or text you for anything all shift on YOUR cell phone. Ask stuff like are you dumb? Where did you get your license? Seniority doesn't mean anything. Whether you are there 17 years or 7 days. Same pay. Same loads We didn't get any extra PPE for pandemic. No gloves. Masks or even a virtual meeting about it. Just deliver your gas. If you get sick...$50 a day sick leave. If you have any. Sr. Management will have a catered meeting or party and drop their leftovers in the drivers room. After they picked over it. But, for the occasional safety meeting you will get truck driver's favorite. Pizza! You will be watched. I heard they will have cameras inside and out of the truck along with a mic. Most people got into trucking for the independence. Not to be micro managed.

Pros

Great coworkers. Relaxed pace. Good equipment. Their own shop. Fuel on the yard. Never had to be towed back to the yard. Feed my family for many years.

Cons

In June of 2019 they began a very aggressive recruiting push which caused the upper 10% (high performance drivers) to lose significant income. They pandemic came later and due to large new driver pool it crushed drivers morale in the senior drivers and caused mass exodus. The general feel of senior drivers is that no one in Management who can fix this really care. Senior drivers feel like management see them as an expensive cost of doing business and that there experience has no true merit or value. A lot is spent in technology and safety systems and equipment. I have sat on both sides of the table and can truly say that the safest driver on the road is one who gets paid well. His/Her only concern is safely operating the vehicle. Not worries about income. My first 4 1/2 years I felt like I was in heaven at a job I could retire from. The last two each day going in was increasingly harder. Something changed in the last 2 years and they need to find out what this new module is not good for strong sustainable growth. Love the company hate the changes.
