Not For Introverts Obviously (But I desperately needed a job)
Pros
Aside from the store manager, my coworkers were nice and pleasant to be around.
Cons
Everything else was terrible. I was especially uncomfortable with following the customers around the store to show them clothes that they might like. Usually customers just wanted to be left alone as they perused the merchandise, but I was always pressured to chase them around with products and say things like "Look at this shirt! I think it would look great on you" as I hold the shirt up to them desperately. It made me uncomfortable and them uncomfortable, too. We were even told to wait on customers outside of the dressing rooms. In the end, they'd always end up leaving the store in a haste and I couldn't blame them. Maybe that tactic worked in the early 2000s, but personally I wouldn't want anyone chasing me around the store with merchandise now either.
